Craft Your Own Memorable 5-Course Meal To Ring In The New Year
CHICAGO (December 2017) – Daisies (2523 N Milwaukee Ave) will serve a special $55 five-course tasting menu available in celebration of New Year’s Eve. Guests will have the opportunity to choose between a variety of selections for each course, with a choice of a vegetarian offering or a protein-centered offering provided at each course. Chef Joe Frillman’s traditional menu often focuses on Midwestern-centric dishes where vegetables are the star of the plate. While many dishes incorporate meat and fish, rarely will guests find themselves faced with a plate full of protein. Instead, when animal products are used, they are incorporated thoughtfully and often in unexpected ways. This versatility makes the menu appealing for vegetable lovers and meat eaters alike.
Frillman’s brother, Tim Frillman of Frillman Farms (Prairie View, Illinois) is one of the main suppliers of locally grown produce to the restaurant, making Daisies not only an exemplary example of farm-to-table, but also a familial affair. The thought and care that goes into the hand-rolled pastas and regionally sourced wine menu will make guests feel like family as well. With the growing season in the Midwest limited to greenhouse grown items, expect new applications for Chicago’s surprising winter bounty.
This festive tasting menu to close out 2017 will include your choice of starter, three pasta selections as well as dessert. Vegetarian and meat options for each course will be available. Reservations will be accepted and the coursed dinner will be available for $55 per person. Optional wine pairings for each course can be added on for an extra charge of $25 per person.
